{"id":19268,"date":"2025-01-15T16:46:35","date_gmt":"2025-01-15T19:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sesuperior.cl\/?p=19268"},"modified":"2025-01-20T15:53:53","modified_gmt":"2025-01-20T18:53:53","slug":"the-report-and-database-from-the-2024-financial-health-study-of-higher-education-in-chile-are-available-to-the-public","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sesuperior.cl\/en\/noticias\/ses-pone-a-disposicion-de-la-ciudadania-informe-y-base-de-datos-del-estudio-de-salud-financiera-de-la-educacion-superior-en-chile-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"SES makes the Report and Database of the 2024 Financial Health Study of Higher Education in Chile available to the public."},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"19268\" class=\"elementor elementor-19268\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1a8f635e e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"1a8f635e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6b9fd433 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6b9fd433\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;ekit_we_effect_on&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In early December,<strong> The Superintendency of Higher Education (SES)<\/strong> made the results of \u00f6ffentlichen bekannt<strong> Second Report of the Study on the Financial Health of the Higher Education System in Chile<\/strong>, a study that reported, among its main conclusions, that the number of students enrolled in institutions classified in the high-risk profile had decreased compared to the previous review.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, Superintendent Jos\u00e9 Miguel Salazar emphasized that this second study confirms that \u201cthe higher education system in Chile continues to show good financial health.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>As of today, the Superintendency makes available to researchers, academics, higher education managers, and the general public <strong>Final study report and database<\/strong> with which it was developed in order to contribute to generating a better public discussion about the present and future of our higher education.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The study analyzed a total of<strong> 126 institutions<\/strong> of higher education with active enrollment in 2024, including <strong>55 universities<\/strong>,<strong> 31 Professional Institutes (IP)<\/strong> y <strong>40 Technical Training Centers (CFT)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The data sources used include the <strong>audited financial statements from 2012 to 2023<\/strong>, the <strong>Uniform Coded Standardized Form (FECU)<\/strong> from the same period, and the<strong> 2020-2023 Free Tuition Revenue Statement<\/strong>, information provided by the HEIs to the SES. In addition, information from <strong>Higher Education Information System (SIES)<\/strong>, such as the historical compendium of higher education financing, undergraduate enrollment, retention rates, among others, and the financing database of the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR). Descriptive and advanced statistical analysis techniques were used, such as latent profiles, logistic regression models, and difference-in-differences analysis to estimate causal effects.<\/p>\n<div
