SES COSOC holds its first meeting and defines presidency

Este martes se llevó a cabo la reunión inaugural del primer Consejo de la Sociedad Civil (COSOC) de la Superintendencia de Educación Superior (SES), instancia en la que se definió a quien ejercerá la presidencia del organismo.

El cargo será asumido por el representante de las organizaciones académicas, Reiner Hollander, de la Asociación de Académicos de la Universidad del Bío-Bío, sede Concepción.

La sesión contó con la participación de los seis integrantes del consejo y se desarrolló en modalidad híbrida, combinando asistencia presencial y telemática. De manera presencial, en las dependencias de la SES, participaron Camilo Peña, representante de la Asociación de Funcionarios Académicos de la Universidad de Playa Ancha; Bastián Becker, de la Federación de Estudiantes de la Universidad Diego Portales; y Miguel Oyarzún, del Sindicato de Trabajadores de la Universidad Católica Silva Henríquez.

En tanto, de forma virtual asistieron Jonás Chnaiderman, de la Asociación Nacional de Académicos y Académicas de la Universidad de Chile; Leopoldo Ramírez, del Consejo de Institutos Profesionales y Centros de Formación Técnica Acreditados; y el propio Reiner Hollander.

Asimismo, se acordó que la próxima reunión del COSOC de la SES se realizará el jueves 15 de enero de 2026, a las 15:00 horas.

Finalmente, se informó que la segunda convocatoria para postular a los tres cargos que aún permanecen vacantes, correspondiente a dos representantes de organizaciones estudiantiles y uno de organizaciones de funcionarios no académicos, se abrirá a partir del lunes 16 de marzo.

CLAIM

The claim it is the request to the Superintendent for this to intervene as a mediator in the dispute existing between the complainant and any of the institutions of higher education are controlled. 

Purpose of the Claim:

Propose an alternative solution to the particular problem of the claimant in the event of a mediation that instruct the Superintendent.

To file a claim, what should I consider?

I have a problem that I have not been able to resolve with an Institution of Higher Education.
 I have a history to prove the problem (emails, audios, texts, documents, formal, etc..) with the institution of higher education.

The Complaint it is the act by which informs the Superintendency of a potential irregularity, with the object that this Investigate and take appropriate action

Under the categories of complaints: 

Obtaining academic background: certificates (notes, a regular student, ranking, recognition of hours, title, grade, and exit), plans and programmes, concentration notes

Problems in the community institutional arising from violations of the internal regulations of the institutions 

Charges for removal or academic suspension, charging wrong.

Benefits and/or grants student grants and loans) 


    Misleading advertising 
   Infrastructure or equipment, laboratories, computer support 

    Application and admission selection test 

    Comprehensive policy against sexual harassment, violence and gender discrimination 

What types of complaints are not within the SES's jurisdiction?

  Breaches in the area of school Education 

  Application and renewal of scholarships allocated by the Ministry of Education
