The Superintendency of Higher Education (SES) has carried out a joint work process with the General Comptroller's Office of the Republic, in order to establish the bases for the registration and presentation of the financial statements of state higher education entities. In that context, starting this Thursday, October 29, the SES makes publicly available the Proposals for the Development of Accounting Regulations for State Higher Education Institutions and Their Chart of Accounts, with the aim of receiving observations and suggestions from the public.
The public information and consultation period will be available from this date until November 19, and all interested parties may participate, who may send their comments and suggestions through a form where they will have to enter the requested information, all with the aim of providing feedback on the information received.
This stage concludes the process for the Accounting Regulations for State Higher Education Institutions, which began on March 18th in collaboration with the Comptroller General of the Republic. These regulations will establish the foundation for the recording and presentation of financial statements for state higher education institutions (state universities and technical training centers), enabling them to fulfill their legal obligation to maintain complete accounting records.
